Founded in 2002, Goreproduction is a proudly underground production house. Our films are created on near-zero budgets, driven by a passion for horror and inspired by the rich tradition of 1970s and 1980s Italian thrillers. What we lack in resources, we more than make up for in creativity and determination. Each work is raw, uncompromising, and infused with the enthusiasm of those who bring it to life. Fabrizio Spurio, born in Rome in 1971, has always been fascinated by horror and thriller themes as well as animated cinema, drawing inspiration from directors and producers such as Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci and Mario Bava. From a young age he began writing stories and drawing. He went on to establish his own label, Goreproduction, and started making short films, which he presented at various independent film festivals while collaborating with fellow underground creators. Since 2002 he has curated his personal website, www.goreproduction.com , and shares his videos through a YouTube channel linked to the site. Francesco Lagonigro was born in San Severo in 1981. From an early age, he developed a passion for horror films, particularly American productions from the 1980s. He is also deeply interested in music, becoming the lead singer of several local bands, with a preference for rock and metal. Alongside his singing, he cultivated an interest in the visual arts, producing numerous illustrations with fantasy and horror themes. In 2000, he created a series of fairy-tale murals for the state school “Hans Christian Andersen” in San Severo, and he has collaborated with the cultural centre Art Village in San Severo, offering singing and music courses for teenagers. In 2015, he met Fabrizio Spurio and became involved with the Goreproduction project as a permanent collaborator. He has participated in several short films both as an actor and as a contributor to their storylines. Additionally, he has produced music videos for songs featured on the soundtracks of the short films in which he appears. He is the founder and administrator of the Facebook group "Sinister House" and manages the YouTube channel "Franklin", where he publishes videos of his songs. Francesco lives and works between Rome and San Severo.
